About this Training:

This training covers the eligibility rules for Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), with a focus on the Social Security Administration’s five-step process to evaluate disability.  It discusses some of the barriers clients are likely to encounter to accessing SSI and SSDI, and identifies advocacy strategies for successful eligibility determinations.

This training was conducted by the Empire Justice Center, a sub-contractor under LAC’s grant with the AIDS Institute.  It is also available through Empire Justice’s online training center

Health or social services providers and legal advocates who work with or advocate for people with HIV/AIDS.
